Valvin Muscat - 2019

Valvin Muscat is a mild, semi-sweet white wine that is sure to please the Moscato drinker. This grape variety exhibits spicy, floral and citrus aromas. This wine is aromatic with hints of fresh peaches, orange blossoms, and leaves a lingering sweet mineral finish on the palate. This Valvin is an excellent pairing wine for curry or chili pepper shrimp dishes, Gouda type cheeses, or paired with something sweet. It makes for a refreshing cocktail wine that can be mixed with equal parts ginger beer to create a light crisp drink or mixed with fresh fruit to make a white wine sangria. This very universal wine is sure to brighten up your later summer evenings.

Winemaker's Notes

An inter-specific white grape variety that is more cold hardy and disease resistant than vinifera muscat, Valvin Muscat has moderately large berries with thin skins, and small, compact clusters, and is an early to mid-season variety. Developed by Cornell University and released as a variety in 2006.
