Grenache – 2019

Racy, refined Spanish influence with a touch of spice and tons of finesse. Szechuan pepper, gun powder, strawberries, raspberries, and salted meats (an incredible mix of sweet and sour), this soft wine hits the palate with light to medium-bodied richness, a layered, silky texture, tons of savory, meaty characteristics, low acidity and a great finish. The fruit is compact and dense. It’s a singular, exotic, beautifully complete Grenache that has a touch of Burgundy in its layered, gorgeous style. This wine should have its place in every cellar.

Winemaker's Notes

Grenache is one of the most widely planted red wine grape varieties in the world. It ripens late, so it needs hot, dry conditions such as those found in Spain, where the grape most likely originated. It is also grown in the Italian isle of Sardinia, the south of France, Australia, California's Monterey AVA, San Joaquin Valley and Wahluke Slope Washington State which is where we source our fruit from.
