Brothers Bond – 2019 Reserve

In 1820, when the three brothers named Israel, Abel and Eli Hammer built the Whitehall farmhouse, it took determination, confidence, and skills specific to the tools of their time. Crafted by our winemaking team to honor the Three Brothers’ Hammer and their legacy, this is a one of a kind, sumptuous blended wine of Pinot Noir, Syrah and Grenache. Sourced from the best-grown Washington State fruit from two different AVA’s – Wahluke Slope & Horse Heaven Hills, this ultra-premium Bordeaux-style balanced blend showcases a seamless integration of fruit, tannin, and oak. Interwoven layers of blackcurrant, spice, tobacco, and anise evolve into a full, broad, and round palate. The structural framework of tightly knit, fine-grained tannins carries through to a long-lasting finish. This true heavy hitter of a wine will drink marvelously in its youth and will provide drinking enjoyment for a decade or more. Toast with us Two Centuries & Three Hammers!

Winemaker's Notes

This wine resulted in an enjoyable experiment by the wine making team here at 3H by marrying three different varietals from two different Washington State AVAs; 22.5% Pinot Noir, 22.5% Syrah and 55% Grenache. Each varietal unique in their own right. This ultra-premium Bordeaux-style balanced blend showcases a seamless integration of fruit, tannin, and oak.
